I’ve had the same conversation time and time again.
“I’d love to be leaner, have more muscle, be in shape and enjoy it but…”
The problem?
Far too many men don’t back themselves. They simply let themselves play too small and gloss over the idea.
Perhaps they’ve tried getting in shape before and not quite figured it out. Never achieved what they hoped they would. I think back to the time when I was still trying to figure this game out and how much trial and error went into those days.
There wasn’t a great deal of information around back then and online personal training/coaching programmes didn’t really exist. Fast forward to the present day and there’s so much information around that it leaves you questioning what’s the right advice to follow.
I remember thinking how if I’d have been able to piece the puzzle together, I could have saved myself years of squandered energy and endless plateaus. How much further ahead could I have been?
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Going to the gym and following your friends’ plan or the latest app or AI tool will only take you so far. Falling off the bandwagon is all too easy when you have no-one to answer to - who’s going to make sure you get right back on?
I’ve experienced the periods where I’ve felt dissatisfied with how I looked, the discontent knowing I wasn’t achieving what I could. This is a problem that many men face.
As men, we want to be able to live our lives to the fullest whilst pushing our limits to get in shape.
And it's totally possible to do it - with the right setup and strategies.
